Origins

Voices gathered in one parish

The choir began as a small group of parishioners who wanted to lead liturgical singing and carry the community’s prayer in song. Their early rehearsals shaped the discipline and warmth that the choir still keeps.

Generations of choristers have since built the repertoire and traditions that define the choir today. Each season has added new voices, new pieces, and new ways of serving the congregation at Martyrs Church Katwe.

We keep our history close, because it is part of who we are as a choir.— Spirit Choir
